How to Give Lucas a Haircut

Lucas is not a fan of haircuts and so I have to get creative to tame his mane.  This time it took two suckers at once to keep him calm enough to cut.

Soccer

Fall always brings soccer season to Sanford.  It seems like most of the town plays and we are no exception.  Owen and Guss both love playing and each year we see an improvement in their skills. 

Guss played defense this year.

Chloe was a great cheerleader for her brothers.

Lucas loved to spend Saturday mornings with Dad on the sidelines.

Apple Orchard Fun

Fall is great in Maine.  The temperature is comfortable, the humidity is gone and so are most of the bugs.  I actually like to go outside in the fall.  One of the things the kids look forward to most is apple picking.  McDougal's Orchard is not far from our house and so we took a few different trips there this fall.  It is more than just an orchard.  They have a corn maze, apple cidar doughnuts, animals and a lot of different varieties of apples that the kids were able to help pick.

They also have a fairy village where the kids could build little fairy houses.
