On the Market

We have decided to put our house on the market.  We have been trying to move west for a few years but nothing has come of it and so we have decided to see if we can move to a bigger house and into a better school district.  We have put a lot of work into the house for the last 7 years and the last project I had last to do was to replace the carpet on the stairs and paint the tops of the stairs.  While Ben was in Groton, after the kids were asleep, I would stay up and work on the last little things that needed to be done to get things ready for the house to be shown.  I have always wanted to do the stair project and I am glad that I finally did.

The house has been on the market for almost 4 weeks and we haven't had anyone look at it, but hopefully soon.

All Done!!!

In September I started reupolstering a loveseat that we had inherited from Ben's grandparents.  It is a hide-a-bed and it works great in the boys room.  Grandma gets to sleep on it everytime she comes.  The only problem was that it was starting to get worn out and Chloe couldn't help but pull the stuffing out.  I was really tired of finding the fluff all over the place and I have a friend in the ward, Tassie Earnest, who has experience in redoing furniture and so she came and helped me.  We found some cheap fabric at Marden's that Ben and I liked and then we began.  It wasn't really hard but it was time consuming and required patience.  It took me longer than I had hoped to finish but finally on New Year's Day we finished it.  Ben really saved me in the end.  He helped me finish, figured out how to do the skirt and kept me sane when I had to keep regoing the end pieces on the arms.  Now enough of the talk and on to the pictures.

When we picked the stripes I didn't realize that it would be so much work to line up the stripes, but I really like the way it turned out.
