Moving Fun

We finally got to move into our new house on May 4, 2012.  It had been a long process to get there but it was worth it for more space and a shorter commute.

We had a May the Fourth party that night in our empty house with a lot of friends.  We watched Star Wars, ate Star Wars themed food and played Star Wars games.  We also took advantage of the extra man-power and got the PODS unloaded.

The next few days brought a lot of cleaning, unpacking and organizing.

After we got the inside taken care of Ben had to tackle the backyard.
Luckily, we didn't lose anyone in the grass for too long.

Life in a Beach House

If you are going to live in a beach house in the winter this was the best winter to do it.  It was a very mild winter and we got to enjoy walking to the beach almost every week.

With the warm temps came alot of rain instead of snow and we found out the hard way that the beach house had a few significant leaks.  The owners decided to fix it before the summer renters came and so we got to live in a construction zone for a few weeks.  It made for cold nights and mornings but we all lived.

248 Sagamore Dr

This is the address of our dream house.  Well I should say my dream house.  I love the layout, the location and the lot.  Ben had issues with the basement and the location of the house on the lot but in the end he let me have the house.  Here are some the almost 60 pictures Ben took at the inspection.

This desk in the kitchen/dining area was a big selling point for me.

The blue boys room.

The pink girls room.

The huge family room.

The short basement.

The front.

Home School?

I tried my hand at home schooling for a week as we waited to find out if our house was going to close.  After a week we still didn't know if the house was actually going to close but I knew that I needed to get the boys back into school.  Maybe if there hadn't been so much else going on it would have gone better but I don't need to try it again any time soon to find out.

Schooling in our temporary digs.

Lucas took advantage of school time to catch up on some Scooby-Doo.

Chloe got in on the act, too.
